Next, in this second part, we will try to explain shortly about logon, navigation and system inside.
This SAP GUI login — preview some of system entries, we already create in previous posting for system entry.

Now, after click the Log On button to log on to system, if connection successfully, the system will shown like this :

This above screen is login dialog of SAP system, IDES or Production server is same login dialog.
What is IDES ? IDES mean Internet Demonstration and Evaluations System, this system is demo versions, consist the some illustrational data like flight system which is the user can explore this system more deeply, also can be customized, for the short meaning, this system for user entry point to learn what SAP system is, before going up to the Production system.
Input the Client ID, Username and password and tap enter key or click green button at the left of the speed button.
Usually the ordinary username and password is: SAP* for username and sapstar for password, or you may defined it from first installation, look the installation of IDES in previous posting in SAP category.
The username SAP* is default for Super Administrator System, another user is DDIC thats the both of this users has a SAP_ALL roles, that’s mean, all function in SAP system can be accessed by this users. In this blog we wouldn’t inform to you the password, you may search in google for the standard password provided.
We will (if have a time) post the How to creating user name and assigning the role and function in SAP system, and also monitoring who is online on our system.
Now, forget the username and the role temporary, next part we will discussed about it.
When the client, username, and password already provided and authenticated on system, the system will let you go on, you may see in this below the successfull user logon :

Now, you successfull entry to the SAP system, at the status bar, the following information is shown like this :

1. ERP (1)(000): is the System ID and screen ID information.
2. virtuserver: we provide using the virtual server hostname from IP 192.168.1.253.
3. INS: mean is button Insert is active.
The multiple screen of SAP is allowed max 6 screens with same user login.
1. Speed buttons
Speed buttons is little arranged button to provide to fast process, as shown below :

this mean button OK to proceed, but some times this function button is change to stopwatch

this is for fast type the t-code ( transactions code ) like MM01 to create new material master.

to collapse / expand the combo box.

to move when the records is more than one screen.

to create new session / screen.

2. Menu

After logon to system, the menu tree will appear on left of the screens, shown above, that all menu is appear when user has SAP_ALL role. The menu can be displayed with/without Technical Code name or Transaction Code, for above screen, we display for Purchase Order tree menu with T-Code (Transactions Code) displayed.
The t-code is one way to open the operation screen instead from tree menu. Such as, you may open the Create PO screen with typing the ME21N at the combobox in speed button groups. If you has difficulties to find out where is that menu exists, you may type sap_search_menu t-code at the combobox and tap enter. If, the basis opening this function, you may use this sap_search_menu t-code to find out where the menu exists. Choose the short way to open the menu.
The user can be generate with limited functions.
Actually, the SAP people has been devided into 3 parts.
1. SAP Functional, this person(s) has responsible for all functional system, just using this SAP ERP technology basis.
2. SAP Basis, this person(s) has responsible for all base system, such as: installing, administering and tuning database, and administering user.
3. SAP ABAP, this person(s) has responsible for all programming needed by customer or some modification standard functions. Some people call this person is ABAPER.
The last-one is SAP ERP Consultant or SAP Project Manager, that person(s) has responsible for all ERP blueprints for company who needed implementing the SAP system.
